NBS SPECIFICATION

An integrated plumbing system (IPS) is a pre-fabricated plumbing system that is specifically designed for commercial washrooms. It typically consists of a panel and frame system that sits behind toilets, urinals, washbasins, or wash troughs.

The IPS panels are available in a variety of colors and sizes and are factory-made to complement the rear timber frames. The panels conceal the unsightly pipework behind the fixtures, creating a more aesthetically pleasing and modern look for the washroom.

benefits of using an IPS:

  • Improved aesthetics: IPS panels hide unsightly pipework, creating a cleaner and more modern look for the washroom.
  • Increased hygiene: IPS panels help to prevent the build-up of dirt and grime behind fixtures, which can harbor bacteria and other pathogens.
  • Easier cleaning: The smooth surface of IPS panels makes them easier to clean and maintain than traditional pipework.
  • Reduced installation time: IPS panels are pre-fabricated, which can significantly reduce the time it takes to install plumbing fixtures.
  • Easier maintenance: IPS panels typically have easy-access panels that allow for quick and easy maintenance of the plumbing system.

IPS are most commonly used in commercial washrooms, such as those in offices, schools, hospitals, and other public buildings. However, they can also be used in residential applications, such as in bathrooms and kitchens.
